Frequently Asked Questions

What is the duration of each lesson?

Both 30 and 60 minute sessions are offered. Your age, level, and schedule are all factors that will help decide which option is best for you. Lessons run on a weekly basis.

Will my lesson be at the same time each week?

Yes! Once we find a day and time that works for your schedule, that same time will be reserved for you each week.

What ages do you teach?

All ages! All that matters is that you have a passion for music!

What kinds of performance opportunities do you offer to your students?

I believe that the more performance opportunities a singer has, the better! These opportunities help students grow as not only a singer, but a well-rounded performer. Each year, we have two to three studio recitals, where each student sings two solo pieces. Throughout summer, I direct a program called Broadway Bound, where students prepare several scenes from various musicals. The program culminates in a final performance held at The Franklin Park Arts Center. I also encourage students to take part in the National Federation of Music Clubs’ annual spring festival, as well as local competitions and auditions.

I don’t live in Northern Virginia. Can I still take lessons?

Absolutely! Virtual lessons are offered for convenience, busy schedules, and those who live far away.

What if I need to reschedule a lesson?

Life happens and sometimes schedules change! A make-up lesson will be granted as long as a 24-hour notice is given. As with other activities, if a student is a no-show or a cancellation is made with less than a 24-hour notice, the lesson will be forfeited and fees will not be refunded.
